Liberals Just Don't Get It!

Damn liberals are always lousing things up by constantly seeking the truth and demanding justice. Now how can this administration continue to pay back corporate campaign contributors, rape the environment, redistribute wealth from the people who created it to the people who exploit it and generally create chaos around this country and the globe with liberals throwing monkeys in the wrench? The nerve!

Yeah sure, you have to interpolate Toht eating a couple hundred quarter pounders with cheese to catch up with Rove's girth but I see a total physical and personality resemblance there. Some of you may know that The Indy Voice was the evolutionary next step from The Independent Voice created on October 01, 2003 on which the first post read,

I've created this Blog out of the fury that arose in me surrounding the leak of ex-ambassador Joseph Wilson and the disclosure, by columnist Robert Novak, that his wife is a CIA “operative”. Of all the low-down, unpatriotic things someone could have done, and I am disturbed that no one has the BALLS to call Novak (et al) the traitors and potential aggravated murderers that they could have become.

After W. has said that those responsible for this treasonous act will be found and held accountable we get this,

Heap this atop the mound of evidence that points to this administration as the most hypocritical of them all. They're not concerned with the truth, justice or anything that even resembles what it means to be American. They don't even know what that means and they thought that they could get away with yet another bold face lie but this one is going to come back to bite them in the ass. I've decided that this liberal needs to start throwing the same crap at conservatives that they're slinging at us. Yes, I am going to sink to their level because they're winning.

Conservative jackass: We are winning in Iraq and the unsuccessful attacks in London prove that the terrorists are weakened because of it.
Indy: People as dumb as you should not be allowed to breathe

Honestly, how can anyone have a rational argument with a conservative who is so irrational as to question your motivations, patriotism, manhood or intelligence every time they disagree with you. The next time I'm asked a ludicrous and simple minded question or hear a completely ridiculous statement by one of these ignorant morons I'm going to throw it right back at them.

Conservative dunderhead: The attacks in London are what happens when you don't respond with enough military force.
Indy: Why do you support the terrorists and hate America?


I'm tired of going out and buying books and talking to different people who are close to the heart of different issues to find out what they think and know. From now on I'm going to let my uninformed opinion run free on the open range of the ridiculous. The Indy Voice will no longer reference some "definitive book on the subject," an expert or worse of all, some "fact". From now on I am going to be driving down the crooked conservative road where dribbling and allowing opinion to skew the facts is not only allowed but encouraged.

Conservative idiot: The British, because they are by and large a group of liberal pansies, are not going to respond to these attacks and they're probably going to get hit again.

I've come to the conclusion that where I'm at in life has everything to do with my ability and I'm not going to sit around and listen to the sniveling comments of a bunch of self-righteous, hypocritical, small-minded peons who have as many brain cells as I cleave from my ass when I scratch it.

Conservative dipstick: The British we're just asking for these attacks by having an open society that promotes multi-culturalism.
Indy: Why don't you move to another country since you seem to hate this one so much?


No longer will I travel to the library, the bookstore or pick-up the newspaper because why does any of that matter. I'm going to just ignore all the so-called "facts" and tailor my arguments to appeal to all that is bad in human nature. Hell, that's exactly what the Republicans have been doing for years and they have a lock on the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of government not to mention the religious and corporate institutions in this country.

Conservative retard: The U.S. and Britain are fighting an away game against these terrorists so we don't have to fight them here! It is unfortunate that London has been attacked and I offer them my condolences and solidarity.
Indy: I really believe that the Conservatives, and the clergy, and the televangelists, and the segregationists and the greedy capitalists who are actively trying to make that a mainstream lifestyle, the Republican party, Family Research Council—all of them who have tried to theocratize America and Britain—I point the finger in their face and say "you helped this happen."

The Indy Voice, in honor of July 4th, is proud to present our "Declaration Of Independence." A document written by Thomas Jefferson and signed, sealed and delivered by a rag tag group of predominantly lawyers to an oversees King who had troops stationed within our borders and his navy parked off of our shores and yet we, a poor and technologically inferior bunch, having neither a standing army or navy, were able to not only repel, but defeat, the mightiest fighting force the world had known to date,

Presenting our Declaration of Independence,

IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776.
A DECLARATION
By the REPRESENTATIVES of the
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,
In GENERAL CONGRESS assembled


When in the Course of human Events, it becomes necessary for one People
to dissolve the Political Bands which have connected them with another,
and to assume among the Powers of the Earth, the separate and equal
Station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a
decent Respect to the Opinions of Mankind requires that they should
declare the causes which impel them to the Separation.

We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal,
that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness-That to

Sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the Necessity which
constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The
History of the present King of Great-Britain is a History of repeated
Injuries and Usurpations, all having in direct Object the Establishment
of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be
submitted to a candid World.

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for
the public Good.

He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing
Importance, unless suspended in their Operation till his Assent should
be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend
to them.

He has refused to pass other Laws for the Accommodation of large
Districts of People, unless those People would relinquish the Right of
Representation in the Legislature, a Right inestimable to them, and
formidable to Tyrants only.

He has called together Legislative Bodies at Places unusual,
uncomfortable , and distant from the Depository of their Public Records,
for the sole Purpose of fatiguing them into Compliance with his
Measures.

He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with
manly Firmness his Invasions on the Rights of the People.

He has refused for a long Time, after such Dissolutions, to cause others
to be elected; whereby the Legislative Powers, incapable of
Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise;
the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the Dangers of
Invasion from without, and Convulsions within.

He has endeavoured to prevent the Population of these States; for that
Purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing
to pass others to encourage their Migrations hither, and raising the
Conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent
to Laws for establishing Judiciary Powers.


He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the Tenure of their
Offices, and the Amount and payment of their Salaries.

He has erected a Multitude of new Offices, and sent hither Swarms of
Officers to harrass our People, and eat out their Substance.

He has kept among us, in Times of Peace, Standing Armies, without the
consent of our Legislatures.


He has affected to render the Military independent of, and superior to
the Civil Power.


He has combined with others to subject us to a Jurisdiction foreign to
our Constitution, and unacknowledged by out Laws; giving his Assent to
their Acts of pretended Legislation:


For quartering large Bodies of Armed Troops among us:

For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from Punishment for any Murders
which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:


For Cutting off our Trade with all Parts of the World:

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:

For depriving us, in many Cases, of the Benefits of Trial by Jury:

FOR TRANSPORTING US BEYOND SEAS TO BE TRIED FOR PRETENDED OFFENCES:

For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring
Province, establishing therein an arbitrary Government, and enlarging
its Boundaries, so as to render it at once an Example and fit Instrument
for introducing the same absolute Rule into these Colonies:


For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and
altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:

For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested
with Power to legislate for us in all Cases whatsoever.

He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection
and waging War against us.


HE HAS PLUNDERED OUR SEAS, RAVAGED OUR COASTS, BURNT OUR TOWNS, AND DESTROYED THE LIVES OF OUR PEOPLE.

He is, at this Time, transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to
compleat the works of Death, Desolation, and Tyranny, already begun with
circumstances of Cruelty and Perfidy, scarcely paralleled in the most
barbarous Ages
, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized Nation.

He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to
bear Arms against their Country, to become the Executioners of their
Friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.


He has excited domestic Insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to
bring on the Inhabitants of our Frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages,
whose known Rule of Warfare, is an undistinguished Destruction, of all
Ages, Sexes and Conditions.

In every stage of these Oppressions we have Petitioned for Redress in
the most humble Terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only
by repeated Injury. A PRINCE, WHOSE CHARACTER IS THUS MARKED BY EVERY ACT WHICH DEFINE A TYRANT, IS UNFIT TO BE THE RULER OF A FREE PEOPLE.

Nor have we been wanting in Attentions to our British Brethren. We have
warned them from Time to Time of Attempts by their Legislature to extend
an unwarrantable Jurisdiction over us.
We have reminded them of the
Circumstances of our Emigration and Settlement here. We have appealed
to their native Justice and Magnanimity, and we have conjured them by
the Ties of our common Kindred to disavow these Usurpations, which,
would inevitably interrupt our Connections and Correspondence. They too
have been deaf to the Voice of Justice and of Consanguinity. We must,
therefore, acquiesce in the Necessity, which denounces our Separation,
and hold them, as we hold the rest of Mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace,
Friends.

We, therefore, the Representatives of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, in
General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the World
for the Rectitude of our Intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority
of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly Publish and Declare, That

When A Chickenhawk Squawks

I admit it, I don't like Karl Rove and almost everything that comes out of his cynical little mouth. If he is the brains behind the Republican party operation they're headed off of a steep political cliff. With that being said, I do admire his chutzpah, unapologetically saying things as inane as he does,

"Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11
in the attacks and prepared for war;
liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks
and wanted to prepare indictments and offer
therapy and understanding for our attackers."


Let me first say that this liberal, if I was so inclined, could slap Rove so hard his therapy needing head would spin around his little pencil neck. I would never do such a thing, not because I realize that it wouldn't get me anywhere or make me feel any better but the crisis of our President being advised by a moron would not be radically improved. On the contrary, the slap would probably damage many of the few precious brain cells that Karl needs to desperately hold on to.

But Karl's strategy of not apologizing for uttering statements that are not based in reality is a good one.

Let's look at the situation through the lens of logic. Karl makes a statement that is so asinine that only the most loyal of right wing talking heads would consider it profound. It's so outrageously simple minded and contradictory to reality that it begs for "outrage" from liberals like myself. But I won't entertain such garbage and I beg of you my liberal brethren, do not fall for this distractionary tactic.

You see Karl has advised his buddy George to get the American people into a war based on false pretenses, a war that was never winnable and that has inspired an entirely new generation of Muslim people that now have legitimate grievances, to radicalize for the sake of their perceived self-defense. Lately these truths have been making their way to the American public's ears and eyes. We saw glimmers of it in the Downing Street Memos and reports of an illegal and secret air campaign taking place before Congress authorized war.

Karl's behavior is perfectly understandable under the circumstances. He's scared to death that the American people are going to wake up to the news that George W. Bush lied this country into a war that has caused the deaths, maimings and injuries of thousands and thousands of people without reason. And this is what really gives him cold sweats at night, he's worried that the American people are going to ask why we attacked a country that had no connections to Al-Queda, no WMD, didn't threaten us and had nothing to do with 9-11, when we had unfinished business with those that DID attack us.

So don't fall for the distraction by engaging the stupidity of the argument. Stand tall and unapologetically speak loudly and truthfully and feel comforted that if Karl won't apologize for speaking lies, we shouldn't apologize for speaking the truth. And the truth should be spoken whenever there's an opportunity, like when a chickenhawk squawks.

Support Em'? Then Bring Em' Home!
REPUBLICAN Senator Chuck Hagel had this to say about the situation in Iraq,

“...things aren't getting better; they're getting worse.
The White House is completely disconnected from reality.”


In the House of Representatives there is a bipartisan resolution that's gaining momentum calling for President Bush to draft a plan for withdrawal that would bring our soldiers home starting in October 2006. The resolution now has a total of 18 co-sponsors, including both Democrats and Republicans but we need to push on the other Representatives who are sitting on the fence.

Please take 10 seconds to let your Representative know that you support our troops and you want to bring them home,
